Position: Early College Pathways - FWS - Onondaga Community College
Job Description:

The Office of Early College Pathways at Onondaga Community College serves high school students in the Central New York region by providing access to college readiness programming and credit bearing courses in higher education that may not be available in their high school. The Office of Early College Pathways consists of multiple dual enrollment programs that offer high school students the opportunity to experience college and prepare them for life after graduation.

Students receive tuition waivers and discounts to work toward earning transferable college credits up to an associate degree in their desired degree program. Federal work study student assistants will help with various programming needs and general office assignments.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide front desk support to the Early College Pathways staff, students and visitors to the College.

* Provide information and guidance to students, staff and visitors.

* Track and distribute meal tickets to high school students who qualify for vouchers.

* Organize and maintain order of student's lunch materials and area.

* Administering or assisting with implementing specialized programs

* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* Must have a valid FAFSA on file

* Must have a financial need, as demonstrated by the FAFSA

* Must be matriculated into a program

* Attending at least half-time (6 credit hours)

* Maintain satisfactory progress (SAP) towards the completion of their program

Additional Information:

* Pay Rate:
Starting rate of $15.50 for new Federal Work Studies.

Starting rate of $16.75 for returning Federal Work Studies

* Hours of Operations:
Monday-Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm

Federal Work Study may work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session.

* Additional hours may be worked during college breaks.
