Pay range: $110-138K DOE

Position SummaryThe Electrical Engineering Manager leads the development and long-term sustainment of high-precision electrical systems for advanced cryogenic applications. This role combines technical leadership with people management, guiding electrical designs from concept through production while maintaining high standards for performance, reliability, and compliance. The manager sets technical direction, ensures design quality, and builds a high-performing electrical engineering team in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

- Lead architecture, design, and development of high-precision electrical systems, including power distribution, signal measurement, control interfaces, and instrumentation
- Provide technical direction across all phases of electrical development
- Review and approve schematics, wiring diagrams, system layouts, test strategies, and technical documentation
- Guide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex electrical issues
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure robust system integration
- Ensure electrical designs meet performance requirements, safety expectations, and regulatory standards (IEC, UL, CE)
- Lead electrical engineering efforts from concept through production, including sustaining and lifecycle support
- Drive design for reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and long-term product stability
- Oversee component selection, sourcing strategies, and obsolescence mitigation
- Maintain high-quality technical documentation, design records, and test reports
- Identify and implement improvements to design quality, development efficiency, and engineering processes
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align projects with business objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and implement innovative solutions
- Provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting support
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 5-7 years of electrical engineering experience required, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role. Background in high-precision electrical systems, power distribution, and instrumentation. Experience supporting hardware products through production and sustainment. Experience with schematics, wiring diagrams, system design, simulation, and validation. PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent process/quality certifications preferred.
