Environmental Analyst

Position Requirements

• Strong technical writing skills and strong GIS skills.
• Minimum BS degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field.
• The ability to work a minimum of three days per week onsite at one of our company offices in Rochester, Syracuse, or Albany, NY or Columbus, OH. This is essential to foster team collaboration and engagement with our office culture.

EDR is seeking versatile, team-oriented candidates to join our Environmental Services group. Qualified Environmental Analysts will get the opportunity to gain experience in environmental resource studies, impact analysis, and permitting. They will have the opportunity to gain an understanding in various federal, state, and local permitting regulations and requirements such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Article VII of the New York Public Service Law, Article VIII of the New York State Executive Law, Chapter 4906 of the Ohio Administrative Code, and other state and federal wetland regulations.

The anticipated base pay range of $50,000‑$65,000 per year is commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual’s education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.

Our experience on these projects, along with many other ongoing/active projects, incorporates all aspects of environmental impact analysis and permitting, which includes preparation of environmental impact statements and siting board applications in addition to various support studies and permit applications.
