To learn more about Mission Technologies, for a short video: Summary HII, Mission Technologies is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of Manufacturing Quality Engineer for their Syracuse, NY Operations.
This position will have responsibility for the alignment of process & product quality for multiple programs, including but not limited to hardware, software, and sourcing/supply chain. Their efforts will be used to analyze program and quality process performance, identify adverse trends, understand/identify risks, and drive effective corrective action as well as overall process improvements. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a secret level security clearance.
What you will do
* Develop and implement Quality processes and procedures
* Support First Article and In-Process Inspections
* Support Product Quality investigations and initiatives
* Identify, communicate, investigate, track, and provide status and solutions for any deviations/non-conformances affecting product or processes at different levels within the organization
* Identify root causes and associate corrective actions, evaluate process/product performance.
* Interact with Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and DCMA.
* Perform supplier and internal quality audits
* Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
* Ensure hardware, software and sourcing/supply chain quality standards are compliant with program requirements What we are looking for (minimum requirements)
* 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
* Background in ISO 9001/AS9100 required.
* AS9102 FAI experience required.
* IPC
610/J-STD-001/IPC
620 experience required.
* 3-5 years of work experience in a DOD environment.
* Basic understanding in process documentation, workflow definition, and analyzing gaps.
* Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction
* Ability to work both with a team and individuality.
* Must be a US Citizen. May be required to obtain a DoD secret level clearance
Physical Requirements
* May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
