Job Type: Full-time

As the Quality Control Engineer for Bridge Inspection, you will be reviewing the conditions of bridges and various other structures in the field. This includes reviewing comprehensive condition reports using agency-provided software or other designated formats. Additionally, you will coordinate with the Team Leader (TL) to ensure timely completion of inspections, while providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.

Effective communication skills are crucial as you engage with team members, clients, and subcontractors, fostering clear and concise exchanges throughout the inspection process. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality work that aligns with technical guidelines is essential. The ideal candidate will possess recent experience in bridge inspection, preferably with entities such as NYSDOT, TBTA, Port Authority of NY&NJ, NYSTA, or NJDOT, and hold a valid NYS PE license.

• Evaluate conditions of bridges and other structures.
• Review written condition reports within agency-provided software or other formats.
• Coordinate with the Team Leader to complete inspections and mentor junior staff.
• Effectively communicate with team members and personnel from clients and subcontractors.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document bridge conditions in the required format and in a clear, concise manner.
• Must be focused on providing quality work that meets technical guidelines.
• Recent bridge inspection experience with NYSDOT, TBTA, Port Authority of NY&NJ, NYSTA, NJDOT or similar.

• NYS PE license or NJ PE license with ability to transfer states.
• 15–20 years of experience inspecting and QC'ing bridges and other structures.
• NHI Bridge Safety Inspection Course or NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Workshop.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.

• Combination of professional office environment and field work.
• Field work requires willingness to work in various weather conditions and nature.
• Travel to project sites is required.

• Must physically be able to perform field inspection work.
• Job requires prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Good faith salary range is provided, and salary package will be commensurate with experience.
