What We’re DoingOur most advanced radar systems are designed by our Integrated Warfare System and Solutions (IWSS) team and we are looking for highly talented individuals, like yourself, with a passion for RADAR and Electronic Warfare Technology. We provide surface, air and undersea solutions, including radar and surveillance systems, undersea combat systems, and surface combat systems and sensors.
The Work- In this position, you will be a responsible systems/software engineering leader for the Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense product line groups in Syracuse NY, leading 16-22 systems/software engineers in the development of complex systems. Primary program support is for Army Radar products.
- Responsible for personnel management including staffing, administration, performance assessment, and feedback. Program area responsibilities include review and approving of functional proposal input and BOEs.
- Individual will own, execute, and status department level initiatives, and act as change agent in responsible area with focus on affordability and advancing technical capabilities and innovation.
- The manager supports and oversees the development and execution of engineering efforts including ensuring cost, schedule, and technical milestones are met. It is expected that the Manager will be > 50% applied doing direct program tasking in some type of leadership and/or technical capacity within the Ground Based and Multi-Mission Air Defense radar product areas.
- Staffing responsibilities include the projection and planning of appropriate staffing levels, recruiting and selection of interns, contractors, college hires and experienced professionals.
- Facilitates and ensures technical vitality of functional team to meet current and strategic requirements.

Technical contributors, program leads, functional leaders, and future business leaders. - Guides resolution of technical issues across programs within technical discipline.
- Ensures cost, schedule and technical commitments are met for all programs and product lines.
- Ensures appropriate Basis of Estimates are applied, risks and opportunities identified, and approves cost estimates.

Who you areYou have experience in System/Software Engineering, such as system design and architecture, requirements analysis and management, systems integration and test, planning/execution. You enjoy leading people while also being involved in program execution.

Basic Qualifications- BS in EE, SE, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent degree
- Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
- Risk management experience and expertise, including identification, mitigation and abatement planning and tracking
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes, the flow down of system requirements, and the interaction of system and subsystem requirements that result in a firm set of system and subsystem level performance requirements, subsystem integration, and system test.
- Experience leading teams.
- Ability to work at multiple site locations in the Syracuse/Central New York area including Liverpool, NY and Cazenovia, NY
