Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Syracuse, NY is seeking a full-time Early Career System Engineer. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals.
Responsibilities- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyze at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics.
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Knowledge of system design, requirements definition and documentation.
- Familiarity with SysML and Model-Based Systems Engineering toolsets (Cameo, Rhapsody).
- Familiarity with analyst tools such as MATLAB.
- Knowledge of system verification/test documentation and conduct.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware/software deficiencies.
- Agile experience.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance level:
Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our paid time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $60,200 - $106,030. (Rate varies by location.)
