In the role of Environmental Scientist 1
Job Responsibilities- Obtain real‑world experience in exciting drinking water, wastewater, energy, sustainability, resiliency, and/or ecological restoration projects
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs
- Apply standard science and engineering techniques and procedures
- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
- Perform other duties as needed
- Habitat Restoration and Mitigation
- Design concept development
- Permitting and compliance support
- Monitoring and reporting
- Field surveys and bio‑benchmarking assessments
- Offshore Wind construction compliance support
- Offshore Wind transmission planning
- Endangered Species Act Permit compliance
- Ecological and Water Quality Monitoring
- Support Nanuet Laboratory projects, including field surveys, laboratory analysis, data analysis, and reporting
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages
- Local candidates preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or closely related field
- Knowledge of wetland delineation, field investigation techniques, and agency coordination requirements
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- MS Office experience
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
