Mechanical Engineering Intern

Utilize and enhance analysis tools. Conduct testing as defined by Mechanical Engineers.

• Use LabVIEW & Matlab to control a test system and the collection and analysis of data.
• Enhance testing using LabVIEW and Matlab programming and by implementing new design elements.
• Create software routines used for quality control.
• Enhance image analysis techniques.
• Responsible for other laboratory duties.
• Perform thermal finite element analyses (FEA).

• Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program.
• All core Mechanical Engineering courses.
• Experimental Analysis.
• LabVIEW programming.
• Matlab programming.
• Desired to have completed:
  Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Machine Design, Numerical Analysis / Finite Element Analysis, Statics.
• Good interpersonal and cooperation skills.
• Computer skills:
  LabVIEW, Matlab, Programming (C#, Java, SQL, C++, or other), MS Office, 3D CAD (Solidworks or Inventor), FEA (ANSYS, Solidworks).
• Ability to work independently.

Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program.

Compensation ranges vary based on skill sets, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current range is: $47,243 - $74,675.

Additional compensation: an annual or quarterly company bonus may apply. Positions for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium.
