Electrical Engineer

Our client is an established architecture and engineering firm looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to its team. This role focuses on electrical systems design for building projects and offers a mix of hands‑on technical work and project‑level responsibility.

You’ll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from evaluating existing conditions and developing designs to supporting construction and coordinating with internal teams and clients. It’s a strong fit for someone who values well‑coordinated documents, practical solutions, and collaborative project work.

• Designing complete electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Evaluating existing conditions and conducting site measure‑ups
• Collaborating with clients and internal teams to define project goals
• Performing code analysis and ensuring compliance with applicable standards
• Developing engineering scope, budgets, and schedules
• Creating and coordinating Revit models using existing documentation
• Preparing engineering calculations, drawings, and contract documents
• Selecting appropriate electrical equipment, materials, and components
• Performing technical and coordination checks of project documents
• Developing project specifications and supporting documentation
• Performing quantity take‑offs and preparing cost estimates
• Staying current with electrical codes and standards
• Reviewing submittals and conducting site visits during construction
• Supporting project management efforts and mentoring junior staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7+ years of electrical design experience in the A/E industry
• Strong proficiency in Revit;
  AutoCAD experience a plus
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or actively in progress
• Ability to work onsite in their Syracuse, NY office
