The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science invites applicants for multiple tenure-track assistant professor positions. Candidates should be committed to innovative teaching, inclusive excellence, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Areas of Interest- Optimization theory or algorithms for operations research
- Artificial intelligence with a strong emphasis in theory or algorithms
- Robotics, with a strong emphasis on algorithms validated by hardware robots
- VLSI design for logic and memory chips, semiconductor device technology, or electronic design automation technology
- Emerging computing technologies, including RF, microwave, photonic, or quantum devices
- Other areas that complement the department research and academic programs
A successful applicant should be able to collaborate with researchers in these areas within the College of Engineering and Computer Science and across Syracuse University, as well as establish strong industrial partnership with domestic and international leaders in these areas.
