- The US Expansion Construction team leads the design and construction of large-scale semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States.
- The Wet Mechanical Systems Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing design, construction, and commissioning of wet mechanical systems for the NY expansion project.
- This role ensures alignment with technical standards, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness, with transition into sustaining engineering support post-commissioning.
What’s Encouraged Daily
- Oversee third-party design and construction of wet mechanical systems including plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, and process piping.
- Validate engineering deliverables (e.g., P&IDs, equipment specifications, system layouts) for compliance with project and industry standards.
- Coordinate with design firms, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure system performance, integration, and on-time delivery.
- Lead quality assurance, risk assessment, and commissioning activities to ensure system reliability, safety compliance, and operational readiness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in wet mechanical systems engineering, including plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, or process piping.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME B31.1, UPC, IPC, ASHRAE).
- Experience reviewing engineering documentation (e.g., P&IDs, specifications, 3D models) using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional coordination with external partners and internal teams.
- Experience supporting semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or high-tech manufacturing facility projects.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination, clash detection, and integrated system design workflows.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices, including energy-efficient hydronic systems and water conservation strategies.
- Experience with control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) and system commissioning processes.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PE, LEED AP, CPD) preferred.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$89,000.00 - $ a year
Additional Compensation May Include Benefits, Bonuses And Equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
