- Work schedule:
M-F, day shift
- An opportunity for temporary employment with practical experience and competitive salaries.
- Consideration for future internships and fulltime employment based on intern performance.
- Have the right to work in the U.S.
- Have daytime 20 hours a week and be in their last 6 months of the student program.
- Be willing to accept the internship for at least a 12-week period.
- Achieve and maintain at least a cumulative 2.8 grade-point average through your last semester prior to the starting date of the intern period.
- Pass a physical & drug screen and background check.
- Academic performance
- Experience from high school automotive classes, military training or exhibit a mechanical aptitude
- References from your school
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- Interest in a career in Construction Equipment Industry
- Communication skills
- Must meet initial mechanical and aptitude testing requirements
- 3 months internship that includes a comprehensive program - learn and earn.
- Gain hands-on shop experience while working with a mentor.
- Learn a solid fundamental understanding of how systems work, procedures, processes, and safety requirements.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality at both school and internship.
- Ability to participate in and learn from all Volvo-specific assigned technical curriculum.
- Seeking a career path with a secure future.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Consistent, regular, reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time.
- Showed mechanical ability and the drive to excel at troubleshooting and learning.
- Proven work ethic and team player.
- Desire to learn from others and a focus on safety.
- Ability to confidently apply newly learned procedures.
- During your internship program you will have the opportunity to participate in training programs.
- Available tooling for use during the internship.

- Physical/Sensory Functions:
Regularly will talk/hear;
Frequently will sit, stand, walk and use hands;
Occasionally will reach with hands and arms, climb or balance. - Lift and/or Move Functions:
Occasionally up to 25 pounds. - Work Environment:
Frequently work near moving mechanical parts;
Occasionally experience vibration and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
