  M-F, day shift

• An opportunity for temporary employment with practical experience and competitive salaries.
• Consideration for future internships and fulltime employment based on intern performance.

• Have the right to work in the U.S.
• Have daytime 20 hours a week and be in their last 6 months of the student program.
• Be willing to accept the internship for at least a 12-week period.
• Achieve and maintain at least a cumulative 2.8 grade-point average through your last semester prior to the starting date of the intern period.
• Pass a physical & drug screen and background check.

• Academic performance
• Experience from high school automotive classes, military training or exhibit a mechanical aptitude
• References from your school
• Demonstrated leadership potential
• Interest in a career in Construction Equipment Industry
• Communication skills
• Must meet initial mechanical and aptitude testing requirements

• 3 months internship that includes a comprehensive program - learn and earn.
• Gain hands-on shop experience while working with a mentor.
• Learn a solid fundamental understanding of how systems work, procedures, processes, and safety requirements.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality at both school and internship.
• Ability to participate in and learn from all Volvo-specific assigned technical curriculum.
• Seeking a career path with a secure future.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Consistent, regular, reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time.

• Showed mechanical ability and the drive to excel at troubleshooting and learning.
• Proven work ethic and team player.
• Desire to learn from others and a focus on safety.
• Ability to confidently apply newly learned procedures.

• During your internship program you will have the opportunity to participate in training programs.
• Available tooling for use during the internship.

• Physical/Sensory Functions:
  Regularly will talk/hear;
  Frequently will sit, stand, walk and use hands;
  Occasionally will reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.
• Lift and/or Move Functions:
  Occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Work Environment:
  Frequently work near moving mechanical parts;
  Occasionally experience vibration and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
