Senior Safety Engineer

As a Safety Engineer at Micron Technology, you will focus on preventing unplanned events that can harm people, property, or the environment at a large semiconductor manufacturing location in New York. You will evaluate operations for compliance with applicable laws, perform technical evaluations of work areas, equipment and operational procedures to identify hazards, and ensure proper safety controls remain in place.

• Support construction and tool‑installation activities to ensure EHS requirements are met.
• Lead task and process hazard analyses and risk assessments.
• Review building and system designs for safety‑by‑design alignment.
• Develop and improve safety programs, procedures and training.
• Conduct site safety audits with area teams.

• 3+ years of professional experience in the Safety or Industrial Hygiene field.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with various subject areas within a complex environment or equivalent.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers and management.
• Demonstrated success managing small- to medium‑size projects and leading multi‑functional teams.

• CSP or CIH preferred.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Ability to self‑motivate and work with minimal supervision.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $84,000 – $179,000 per year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
