As a Safety Engineer you will focus on preventing unplanned events that could harm people, property or the environment at a large semiconductor manufacturing location in New York. You will continuously evaluate operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards. Your work will include technical reviews of work areas, equipment and procedures to identify hazards and confirm proper safety controls remain in place.
Responsibilities- Support construction and tool‑installation activities to ensure EHS requirements are met
- Lead task and process hazard analyses and risk assessments
- Review building and system designs for safety‑by‑design alignment
- Develop and improve safety programs, procedures, and training
- Conduct site safety audits with area teams
- 3+ years of professional experience in the Safety or Industrial Hygiene field preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work well with various subject areas within a complex environment or equivalent
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers, and management
- Demonstrated success managing small‑to‑medium‑sized projects and leading multi‑functional teams
- CSP or CIH preferred
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Ability to self‑motivate and work with minimal supervision
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $84,000.00 – $ per year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
