Position: Chemical Process Technician - 1st Shift (90-Day Increase Eligible)
Location: City of Syracuse

Process Engineering Technician

Location:

6457 Fly Road, East Syracuse, NY, 13057. Shift: 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Assuring manufacturing process runs per procedure or conducting engineering tests.
  • Monitoring manufacturing process or performing failure analysis for engineering or quality.
  • Taking measurements for process control or gathering measurement data for engineering.
  • Re-writing documentation to update new practices or preparing reports for engineering or quality.
  • Responding to data on process control charts or maintaining material movement spreadsheets and reporting results.
  • Running tests through production process line or assisting process engineer in evaluating data.
  • Responsible for all processes within manufacturing and/or supporting engineers.
  • Performing process control activities such as measuring product or performing tests.
  • Following all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a necessary level.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong desire and willingness to learn.
  • Familiar with PC applications.
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing or equivalent experience required (or in final stages of completion).
  • Strong math skills, especially statistics.
  • Will undergo chemical handling training prior to performing duties and participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation range: $43,237 - $68,342. Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly company bonus, shift premium for alternative shift positions, etc. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible spending and health savings accounts, accident benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, paid vacation and holidays. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following hire date. Certain positions offer PTO and holiday benefits only.
