Cal Source ,an ATS company, is Upstate New York's premier test equipment and gauge calibration lab, operated by people dedicated to metrology, quality, and integrity.
The Position
Cal Source is seeking a Calibration Technician who will provide calibration services (TMDE) both in-lab and at customer sites for a variety of equipment and instrumentation. This role is based in the Syracuse, NY location.
Job Description
The Calibration Technician will work both independently and with other technicians on the team. The successful candidate should have documented calibration experience in up to three disciplines (e.g. Electrical, Dimensional or Pressure). Additionally, the Calibration Technician will be a self-starter, possess good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) as well as have computer competency.
Candidates must be willing to travel to the local area customer sites to calibrate a variety of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.
Responsibilities
* Work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals, which can include measurement, temperature, electronics, etc.
* Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
* Maintain calibration standards
* Working knowledge and competency in at least three 3 disciplines (dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, pressure, etc.)
* Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting or while supervised at a client facility
* Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
* Other duties as assigned
* Travel requirement: 25-50% to local customer sites
