Job Overview

TTM Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTMI) is a global manufacturer of radio frequency components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and advanced printed circuit boards. The Process Engineer will be involved with all aspects of planning, process, and fabrication of specialty printed circuit boards and will work onsite in the East Syracuse, NY facility.

Essential Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 1 to 4 years of experience as a Process Engineer, including 1+ years in a PCB fabrication environment
  • Experience in interface with various departments to maintain, analyze, and improve all processes and associated documentation
  • Internal and external qualification of new processes
  • Root cause analysis of day-to-day issues
  • Evaluation of equipment through DOE and capability testing
  • Accountable for programming and troubleshooting of equipment software
  • Provide technical and analytical support for customers and suppliers in product and chemical processes
  • Strong communication skills; ability to suggest procedural changes
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste handling and reporting of accidents, near misses, and safety concerns
  • Proficiency with PPE, JSA, MSDS, and safety procedures
  • Project management skills, ability to work quickly under pressure
  • Fine motor skills, rapid mental-muscular coordination
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements
Responsibilities
  • Interface with various departments to maintain, analyze, and improve all processes and associated controlled documentation
  • Internal and external qualification of new processes
  • Root cause analysis of day-to-day issues associated with the departments
  • Evaluation of equipment through DOE and capability testing
  • Accountable for programming and troubleshooting of equipment software
  • Provide technical and analytical support for all customers and suppliers associated with product and chemical processes, respectively
  • Communicate regularly to supervisors and managers, suggest and compose procedural changes, and maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Generate, accumulate, and handle hazardous wastes generated in daily operations as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager
  • Report all accidents, near misses and safety concerns
  • Perform job duties utilizing required and appropriate PPE
  • Participate in safety training and follow directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and all Safety Procedures and Alerts
  • React quickly to day-to-day problems with timely solutions
  • Make decisions fast and under pressure
  • Work up to 9 hours a day, five days a week, with occasional weekend work; optional weekend flexibility
Qualifications
  • Subject matter expert in area of responsibility or working knowledge of several technical areas
  • Applies advanced technical principles to complete medium to complex tasks
  • Provides input on group’s technical direction
  • Works on assignments of medium to complex level
  • Structures project plans and manages cost‑effective execution of tasks
  • Typically requires 1 to 4 years of experience with a Bachelor’s; 1+ years with a Master’s degree
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $58,857 - $98,095 (location and other factors considered)
  • Possible annual or quarterly company bonus
  • Shift premium may apply for alternative shift positions

  • Benefits effective the first of the month following hire
