Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Environmental professional (Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist) to join our team. This position will primarily focus on managing complex environmental projects involving CERCLA investigations and remediation processes related to PFAS and chlorinated solvents. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to address environmental issues concerning soil and groundwater contamination, site redevelopment, and compliance.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee projects related to site characterization, remediation, and environmental compliance.
- Lead remediation projects, which may include soil excavation, groundwater pump and treat, bioremediation, thermal desorption, soil stabilization, and soil vapor extraction.
- Lead and manage field operations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Prepare technical documents, reports, and proposals, including cost estimates and scopes of work for new opportunities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams and staff members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Conduct data analysis and deliver technical insights to clients and project teams.
- Develop and manage new client relationships while working with existing clients to define comprehensive scopes of work and provide detailed cost estimates.
- Bachelor of Science in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Professional Geologist (PG), Professional Engineer (PE), or relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including technical work, client interaction, project management, and staff training/mentoring.
- Strong background in CERCLA and PFAS investigation and remediation, including soil and groundwater remediation techniques such as bioremediation, thermal desorption, and soil vapor extraction.
- Experience managing field teams conducting site characterization and remediation.
- Strong critical thinking, technical writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex technical information effectively to a range of stakeholders, including clients and project teams.
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to tackle diverse environmental challenges.
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.
- Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen.
$125,000—$150,000 USD
