About the Role
The Process Engineer will be involved with all aspects associated with the planning, process, and fabrication of specialty printed circuit boards. Long-term goals are to manage projects independently and develop customer interface skills.
Location and ScheduleThis full‑time position requires onsite work at the East Syracuse, NY facility. The role is a 2nd shift position; however, the candidate must be available for training on the 1st shift. Occasional travel (less than 10% of the time) may be required.

Essential Knowledge and Skills- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 2‑4 years as a Process Engineer; 1+ year in a PCB fabrication environment is a plus
Job Description
- Interface with various departments to maintain, analyze, and improve all processes, production, and associated controlled documentation.
- Internal and external qualification of new processes.
- Root cause analysis of day‑to‑day issues associated with the departments.
- Evaluation of equipment through DOE and capability testing.
- Accountable for programming and troubleshooting of equipment software.
- Provide technical and analytical support for all customers and suppliers associated with product and chemical processes.
- Communicates regularly to supervisors and managers, suggests and composes procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment, and communicates safety hazards and issues.
- Generate, accumulate, and handle hazardous wastes generated in daily operations as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.
- Report all accidents, near‑misses, and safety concerns; perform duties utilizing required and appropriate PPE; fully participate in safety training and follow JSA, PPE assessments, MSDS, and all Safety Procedures.
- Understand manufacturing processes and process control; skilled at Root Cause Analysis.
- Well organized with strong project management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- React quickly to day‑to‑day problems with timely solutions.
- Make decisions quickly and under pressure.
- Hands‑on with an analytical approach to process and mechanical problems.
- Have good vision, hearing perception, and clear speech.
- Work up to 9 hours a day, 5 days a week; flexible to work on weekends.
- Stand for up to 8 hours per day; able to lift 45 lbs.; able to walk; no respiratory issues.
- Possess fine motor skills and rapid mental‑muscular coordination.
- Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
- Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.
- Subject matter expert in area of responsibility or working knowledge of several technical areas.
- Applies advanced technical principles to complete medium to complex tasks.
- May provide input on group’s technical direction.
- Follows set processes/protocols.
- Works on assignments of medium to complex level.
- Structures project plans and manages cost‑effective execution of tasks.
- Errors may result in serious delays and/or departmental consequences.
- Meets goals with some direction supervision.
- Important player on large technical projects and programs.
- Uses discretion to help design and implement solutions to somewhat complex problems.
- Typically expects 2‑4 years of experience with a Bachelor’s; 1+ years of experience with a Master’s degree.
