About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our widely respected and growing Aviation Division in Syracuse, NY.

- Support and lead airport design and improvement projects from planning through construction.
- Prepare and review plans, specifications, and contract documents for aviation infrastructure projects.
- Assist with project management, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide technical design support and independent production of engineering documents.
- Support construction administration, including site visits and coordination with contractors.
- Ensure designs comply with FAA Advisory Circulars and airport design standards.
- Presenting at meetings with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Delivering high-quality products and superior client service.
- Maintaining and growing MJ's client base in New York and the Mid-Atlantic
- Actively participating in industry organizations and events
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- PE Required.
- 6+ years of airport design and/or aviation construction experience in private industry or government.
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD
- Business Development and/or Project Management experience a plus, but not required.
- Project Management experience a plus, but not required.
- Experience with construction administration and project delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules.
- Must be eligible for security badge clearance (SIDA) at US airports; pass a background check
- Compensation:
Starting at $65.00 per hour, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. - Performance-based incentive payment plan/bonus structure.
