Travel: 0–10%
Salary Range: $95,263 – $135,000
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test electronic circuits, subsystems, and components for defense applications, including communications, radar, sensing, and embedded systems.
- Perform schematic capture, PCB layout review, component selection, and system‑level integration.
- Conduct simulations, modeling, and analysis to validate performance, reliability, and compliance with military standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—systems engineering, software, mechanical, and manufacturing—to ensure seamless integration of electronic hardware.
- Support prototype development, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis during testing and field evaluations.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and compliance reports.
- Ensure designs meet security, safety, environmental requirements (MIL‑STD, EMI/EMC, environmental hardening).
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years with a Master’s degree in a related field.
- 0 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field.
- Alternatively, high school diploma or equivalent with 9+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and signal processing.
- Experience with Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, OrCAD, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with military standards and ruggedized electronics design.
- Hands‑on lab experience (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers).
- Excellent problem‑solving and collaborative skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Bonus: RF systems, high‑speed digital design, or power electronics experience.
- Desirable:
Defence aerospace experience, embedded firmware or FPGA development, cybersecurity knowledge of hardware systems.
- Ability to work in office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environments.
- Capable of climbing ladders, operating in confined spaces, and tolerating extreme temperatures.
