Environmental EIT​/Designer

As part of our Waste sector, you will help shape solid waste infrastructure and environmental stewardship. You will collaborate closely with clients and communities to design sustainable, cost‑effective systems that contribute to cleaner environments and healthier communities.

• Assist Senior Engineers in environmental remediation projects, including remediation design and implementation
• Perform routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Perform administrative duties associated with project management for environmental remediation projects
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers on larger projects
• Assist senior engineers in environmental remediation projects involving feasibility studies, pre‑design investigations, remedial design, remedial action and post‑construction activities
• Interpret data and summarize it in tables, charts, and/or maps
• Complete duties requiring field work and travel as needed
• A valid driver’s license is required for this role
• Perform other duties as needed

• 40‑hour HAZWOPER training is strongly preferred
• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related Engineering field
• EIT or the ability to obtain an EIT license. Candidates hired without an EIT will be titled “Environmental Designer” and will be expected to obtain their EIT license for career progression
• 10‑hour OSHA training is preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS experience
• Professional experience with engineering internships is preferred
• Local candidates preferred
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding sampling tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures)

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related Engineering field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. New York: $63,580 – $92,460.
