Environmental Project Scientist or Engineer

C&S is seeking a full‑time Project Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join our Environmental Service Group in our Buffalo, New York office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing and serving as technical expert on regulatory compliance projects spanning a variety of technical areas such as petroleum and chemical bulk storage, storm water, hazardous waste, air quality, etc.
• Complete marketing and business development activities
• Provide proposal development, project estimating, and technical document preparation
• Complete field activities
• Prepare various technical reports, permits, and plans
• Oversee project financials and staff execution of project tasks
• Complete quality assurance review of others' work
• Provide staff management and development

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations
• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients preferred
• A bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, geology or related programs
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• A valid driver's license
• A willingness to travel and undertake overnight travel, if necessary
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

70,000 - 90,000/year
