HDR is seeking a Senior Remediation Project Manager with 10 or more years of experience. The successful candidate will be based in one of HDR's New York/New Jersey (NY/NJ) offices and will support our ongoing and planned remediation workload, including NYSDEC and Federal Superfund projects, and help drive site investigation and remediation practice initiatives.
Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out).
- Responsible for all aspects of large multidisciplinary projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staff.
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
- Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
- Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders.
- Coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.
- Work with Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
- Implement QA/QC procedures.
- Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master’s Degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of environmental remediation project‑management experience.
- Experience supporting Superfund remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and design activities.
- Knowledge of federal regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, CWA) and New York/New Jersey regulations, including NYCRR Part 375, ECL Article 27, Title 13, NYSDEC DER‑10, DER‑31 and other environmental regulations.
- Experience managing large program initiatives (e.g., data governance).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Candidates who reside locally are given preference.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 10 years related experience.
- A minimum 5 years project‑management experience.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position.
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus).
- Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions.
