Warfare Systems (WS) is a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. It focuses on cyber and mission IT, electronic warfare, and C5

ISR systems. HII supports the U.S. military and federal agency partners through cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, and software and hardware development.

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in Syracuse, NY.

In this role, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to design innovative technical solutions and execute project scope under the guidance of a team leader. You will translate functional requirements into robust designs and validate that those designs meet all performance and project constraints.

• Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, software systems, and networks.
• Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Apply sound technical principles, theories, and concepts to assigned work.
• Create solutions to challenging technical problems in a team environment using engineering processes and toolsets.

• 0 years experience with Bachelors in a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with leadership and peers.
• A team player capable of participating in cross‑functional teams and coordinating work with others to reach a common goal.
• Willingness to travel for external testing events and customer demonstrations.

• Experience in RADAR, Electronic Warfare, and/or Wireless Communications.
• Experience with high‑performance processing including FPGAs, GPUs, CPUs, digital filters, high‑speed ADCs/DACs, and complex mixed‑signal PCB design.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with C/C++/OpenCL and scripting languages such as Tcl, Python.
• Knowledge of programmable logic and embedded processor techniques, solutions, and toolsets.

• May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Must be capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
