HVAC Engineer

• Serve as lead HVAC Engineer from concept through construction administration
• Draft HVAC construction drawings including details, plans, and sections
• Perform HVAC load and energy calculations and design HVAC systems
• Select HVAC equipment and develop construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit
• Coordinate all HVAC‑related documentation and drawings throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead design efforts with staff and consultants to meet code, client, and contractual requirements
• Administer projects in the construction phase, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and resolve field issues
• Lead design discussions, implement sustainable strategies, and carry concepts through to drawings
• Research building performance, regulations, and conduct necessary engineering research
• Communicate effectively with clients, respond to questions, and represent the firm

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Design Certification
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• Minimum 7‑10 years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm
• Well‑versed in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to lead projects, make critical decisions, and work effectively with teams and contractors
