Job Summary – CP‑2 Certified

Perform advanced field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures; recommend and perform troubleshooting tests and identify when such testing is required. Work with engineering to determine design solutions.

Core Responsibilities
  • Work independently, make field decisions without direct supervision, and be responsible for obtaining field data to determine the condition of structures under evaluation.
  • Compile and submit field data for senior staff review.
  • Be familiar with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects.
  • Estimate duration for both engineering and construction projects.
  • Organize and perform multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously.
  • Develop test procedures for complex troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.
  • Perform field design testing for cathodic protection solutions.
  • Work with engineering to design cathodic protection systems.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current certification with AMPP (formerly NACE International) as a Cathodic Protection Technician CP‑2.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the corrosion control industry, particularly related to cathodic protection work.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as interact with team members, clients, and management staff.
  • Willingness to travel as required for the job.
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Physically able to stand or walk on uneven ground, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, lift up to 60 pounds, and operate in all-weather environments.
