Structural Designer – US East Design & Delivery Organization
We are looking for a Structural Designer to join our US East Design & Delivery Organization (DDO). In this role you will help shape major infrastructure, industrial, and building projects across the region, with a strong emphasis on water and wastewater treatment facilities, energy infrastructure, and other complex structural systems. Your key responsibilities include:
- Develop coordinated 2D and 3D models and produce contract drawings for reinforced concrete and structural steel systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Model tanks, foundations, slabs, frames, platforms, pipe supports, and steel superstructures ensuring construction‑ready deliverables.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with civil, mechanical, electrical, and process elements, resolving clashes through model‑based coordination and tools such as Navisworks.
- Contribute to BIM execution plans, maintain libraries of templates, families, and standard details and ensure quality and consistency of project deliverables.
Hybrid model: in‑office collaboration three days a week at one of the following locations:
Buffalo, NY;
Syracuse, NY;
Harrisburg, PA;
King of Prussia, PA;
Bowie, MD;
Tampa, FL;
Orlando, FL.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Design Services, Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Structural Drafting/Design, Architectural Design, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of structural design and drafting experience, strong emphasis on concrete and steel structures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; strong working knowledge of Revit for structural modeling.
- Experience with Navisworks or similar coordination software preferred.
- Solid understanding of structural systems: reinforced concrete, structural steel framing, foundations.
- Familiarity with infrastructure or industrial facilities (e.g., water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, energy facilities) is highly desirable.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. - Solutions Analysis:
Identify and propose best solutions to technical or professional problems. - Personal Capability Building:
Participate in assessment, training, and coaching to maintain professional accreditation where relevant.
- 401(k) – eligibility on first day of month following 3 months of service.

$32.00–$64.00 per hour based on experience and location.
