Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware
We have a fantastic opportunity available to join a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology manufacturer in the Syracuse area.
This is a Full Time – Direct Hire opportunity. Hybrid work schedule available.

- Collaborate with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering team developing next-generation products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
- Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
- Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
- Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architectures.
- Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
- Experience designing analog and digital circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.
- Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Experience:
- Altium Designer.
- Xilinx Vivado.
- RF Systems or Software Defined Radio (SDR).
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
- MATLAB, Python, and Linux.
- Experience performing design reviews and providing technical leadership.
