Role SummaryAs a Structural Engineering Professional – NE Region, you will perform a significant portion of structural analysis and design for our projects. You will collaborate closely with the Structural Lead, other Structural Engineers, Designers, and cross‑disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities- Perform conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design under general supervision.
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Exercise sound engineering judgment and problem‑solving skills, seeking guidance when necessary.
- Apply principles of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic) in accordance with building code provisions.
- Maintain high attention to detail and quality control, checking your own work and performing calculation checks of other engineers’ work.
- Manage workload, keep commitments, and take ownership of assigned work to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Initiate scope clarification and escalation when needed, and forecast effort for your scope.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, or mentorship to less experienced engineers.
- Advance workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline, embracing emerging technologies.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
- At least 10 years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
- Proficiency with structural engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
- Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
- MS degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- Experience in semiconductor or general industrial facilities.
- Experience leading medium‑sized teams.
- Home location must be in the Northeast region of the US or Canada.
