Senior Industrial Wastewater Engineer

Role Description

Senior Industrial Wastewater Engineer – Lead impactful projects across North America, designing and implementing advanced industrial wastewater treatment systems for diverse industry sectors. You will oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies to long‑term operations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor emerging talent, and shape the future of industrial water solutions.

• Lead the technical delivery of complex industrial wastewater treatment projects from studies and design through startup and commissioning.
• Develop innovative treatment solutions utilizing physical, chemical, biological, membrane, filtration, adsorption, disinfection, thermal evaporation, and crystallization technologies.
• Partner with multidisciplinary engineering, environmental, and construction teams to deliver integrated high‑performance solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and designers while fostering professional growth across the team.
• Develop and strengthen strategic client relationships, identify growth opportunities, contribute to business development initiatives, and support proposal development, client presentations, and project pursuits.
• Drive project success through effective planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost estimating, quality management, and risk mitigation.

Deep expertise in industrial wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and system design. Proven track record of delivering complex industrial water projects to a diverse range of clients. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills, coupled with emotional intelligence to influence project teams and stakeholders. Experience in full‑cycle project delivery, capital and O&M cost estimating, scheduling, work planning, and quality management. Strategic thinking with an understanding of client business objectives, industry trends, regulatory drivers, and emerging treatment technologies.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 10 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more states.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 14 years of industrial wastewater treatment experience.
