Huntington Ingalls is currently seeking a motivated RF Engineer 3 to work in a team in the development of advanced systems and technology. As part of our Electronic Systems team, located in Syracuse, NY, you will be helping to advance leading edge electronics and communications technologies. We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter and can work with minimal oversight.

The RF Engineer must be a person who thrives on solving challenging technical problems. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team in the design, development, and delivery of products with a focus on the end user/customer. The RF Engineer will regularly interface with, and coordinate the efforts of, a team consisting of software, hardware, mechanical and product engineers.

• Contribute to RF analysis activities to develop requirements and design specifications
• Modeling and simulation of complex embedded RF systems
• Designing, Developing, Documenting, testing RF Circuits and systems, including amplifiers, and antennas
• Perform hands on testing and troubleshooting of RF systems using a range of equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generator, oscilloscopes and Network analyzers
• Working with software-defined radio (SDR) systems and interfaces including waveform development and testing
• Train and mentor junior engineers

• 5 years relevant industry experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant industry experience with Masters in related field; 0 years’ experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant industry experience.
