Entry-Level Transmission Engineer

We are seeking an Entry-Level Transmission Engineer to join our growing Transmission and Distribution team. This position will support the design and development of overhead and underground transmission projects while working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering from an accredited engineering program and 0-3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with coworkers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees
• Assist with the creation of detailed engineering drawings for both underground and overhead transmission lines based on client and industry standards.
• Assist with the development of complete design packages that incorporate all necessary details for construction (construction staking table, stringing charts, cable pulling, etc.)
• Develop structure framing structure details, to include hardware, insulators, and grounding details based on client and industry standards
• Develop load-bearing element details (duct banks, vaults, etc.) to include spacers, splicing, and grounding details based on client and industry standards.
• Perform periodic site visits, as required, during the duration of the project to verify design intent and provide engineering support during construction.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources to develop detailed designs and attend regularly scheduled meetings to provide update on the status of the design.
• Perform detailed calculations to support the design and create reports to clearly express those calculations.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates
• Develop knowledge of internal and external document control system, QA/QC, and safety standards.
• Responsible for complete and accurate record keeping and quality of all work performed

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
