- Research, design, develop, and test complex electrical products or systems
- Conduct prototype development activities to ensure compliance with specifications and project milestones
- Promote effective design and development processes
- Ensure optimal performance of designs
- Create electrical/electronic schematics
- Design complex PCBAs and integrated electrical systems and components, including cabling and wire harnesses
- Design and develop mixed-signal systems using MCUs, MPUs, FPGAs, DSPs, SoCs, sensors, power electronics, analog front ends, RF front ends, high-speed memory, and serial communication interfaces
- Conduct failure, reliability, capacity, and capability analyses
- Document designs for internal users, subject matter experts, engineering disciplines, and program management
- Collaborate with engineering disciplines and subject matter experts on system- and board-level design details
- Perform hands-on system and board-level integration and testing
- Draft test plans, procedures, rework instructions, and other design-specific documentation
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Engineering Intern 2: 20%–40% of required bachelor's degree credits completed
- Engineering Intern 3: 40%–60% of required bachelor's degree credits completed
- Engineering Intern 4:
More than 60% of required bachelor's degree credits completed - Strong academic background in Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with defining requirements, schematic capture, PCB layout, and design verification testing preferred
- Experience with multi-Gbps serial communications links and high-speed serial link simulation using IBIS models and S-parameters preferred
- Experience with power analysis, including DC drop, power plane impedance, and decoupling analysis preferred
- Experience with EMI/EMC testing and interpreting test and experiment results preferred
- Radar, EW, software-defined radio, and electro-optical system design experience preferred
- Ability to work on multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Ability to work in an environment with rapidly changing priorities
Demonstrates expertise in designing and developing complex electrical systems, including PCBAs and mixed-signal systems, while ensuring compliance with specifications and project milestones. Proficient in conducting analyses and testing to optimize performance and reliability in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
