Project Consultant

Employee-Owned Premier Counter top Company is looking for a Project Consultant for a growing company in Syracuse. Full-time, Monday through Friday!

Respond to customer inquiries regarding product offerings, company services, product pricing, order status, and delivery schedules. Provide excellent customer service by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products, services, and product specifications.

Follow up on customer inquiries for product offerings, pricing, and delivery information.

Respond to customer inquiries via phone, mail, fax, and showroom visits and prepare sales quotes for current and/or potential customers.

Interface with production staff to discuss customer requirements and/or product specifications.

Review customer specifications, layouts, and product dimensions to develop product pricing and convey information to customers as requested. Meet with clients in showroom, explain materials, edges, options, and show them materials.

Respond to customer requests for product samples and ensure samples are delivered within requested time frame.

Perform related duties as required to meet department and/or company objectives.

Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

High school diploma or GED required. Previous sales experience strongly preferred. Previous experience quoting jobs required.

Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner in person or via phone or written correspondence. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Ability to send/receive email messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing and/or data entry.

Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, performing accounting work, using a computer terminal, and/or extensive reading. Ability to discern colors and patterns.

Ability to sit for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, push, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend, climb, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Ability to operate various office equipment including computer, printer, telephone, fax machine, and copier. Computer Software:
Peachtree, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
