Onondaga Community College, located in Syracuse, NY, is a college of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 30 locally sponsored community colleges throughout New York State. Onondaga County is our sponsor. We offer two-year degree programs that serve as transfer opportunities to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year campuses or for direct entry to the workforce. We also offer certificate programs that can generally be completed in one year.

We are seeking students to assist with game-day responsibilities including gate admission, concession stand operation, filming, general support, ball people. We also need students to monitor the Applied Exercise Room while students and teams use the fitness center during open hours. In addition, we need students to help with our sports medicine operation assisting our Athletic Trainers set-up for practices and games.
This position can also include working in the Esports Arena. Responsibilities for working in the Esports Arena include greeting students on the Esports teams in a friendly, courteous, welcoming manner, updating and cleaning gaming computers, making sure that game files are downloaded prior to competitions, answering the phone and taking messages, assisting students in signing in and out of computers, if needed, maintaining a calm and clean arena, directing new candidates for Esports to the application, and performing related work as required.
Requirements:
Must have a valid FAFSA on file, must have a financial need, as demonstrated by the FAFSA, must be matriculated into a program, attending at least half-time (6 credit hours), maintaining satisfactory progress (SAP) towards the completion of their program. Preferred requirements for working in the Esports Arena: previous knowledge of Senet control system, experience in computer service and maintenance, must enjoy working with diverse populations and have good communications skills, gaming experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Pay Rate:
Starting rate of $16.00 for new Federal Work Studies. Starting rate of $17.00 for returning Federal Work Studies. Hours of Operations:

Federal Work Study may work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session. Additional hours may be worked during college breaks.
