Key Responsibilities Underwrite FHA and/or VA loans in accordance with agency guidelines and maintain production standards Communicate loan decisions and status updates clearly with Loan Officers and Processors Provide guidance within the underwriting team and assist with training and knowledge-sharing
Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of recent government underwriting experience Active FHA DE designation (CHUMS required) and VA SAR/LAPP designation preferred Proficient in manual underwriting of government loans and recent experience with Conventional loans Strong understanding of agency guidelines and investor overlays Ability to manage high volume in a fast-paced environment
