Job Title

Manager, Financial Operations

Position Summary
  • Manage and execute the quarterly static forecasting process for the System, including analysis to target, trending and data analysis.
  • Assist in financial and operational business planning, including supporting the annual capital threshold business plan submissions and ad hoc capital requests.
  • Manage the strategic financial planning process with assistance from the Director, Financial Operations and Vice President, Financial Operations, coordinating communication, data analysis and analytics, and working with System Office resources.
  • Oversee mid‑month forecasting for the System (incorporated into rolling forecasting).
  • Lead all management reporting functionality and variance analysis throughout the system, ensuring data integrity and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Track and report on the Together Lead initiative, variances to budget, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Operations team to evaluate and improve forecasting accuracy and incorporate changes into future models.
  • Manage productivity, budgeted FTEs, and other key financial and operational metrics.
  • Coach and develop staff within the Financial Operations pod.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and the healthcare industry.
  • Team leader and innovator with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of management experience.
  • Prior public‑accounting experience preferred.
Experience with Capital Expenditure & Budgeting

Preferred experience in capital expenditure and budgeting.

Work Environment and Hazards

Exposure Class I or II, service specific – limited exposure to situations that could cause serious illness or injury. May involve exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions.

Physical Demands

Medium work: some lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
