- Lifeguard Job Summary

The lifeguard is responsible for supervising and monitoring activity in the pool, pool area and sauna. The lifeguard must possess as minimum qualifications: current advanced lifesaving and basic life support cardiopulmonary resuscitation (9 hr. C ), certificates from the American Red Cross or equivalent certifying agency on the basis of standards set by the Commissioner of Health. CPR must be renewed annually and advanced lifesaving renewed every two years.

Hours available include days, evenings, and weekend shifts.

Must be a current student enrolled at Upstate Medical University and approved for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate.

Work Days:

$17/hour

This Federal Work Study position is available to current Upstate Medical University students who have been approved for and accepted Federal Work Study through the Financial Aid Office.
