Position SummaryProvides pharmaceutical service and care to all patient populations including neonates, infants, children, adults and geriatrics based on individual variables and disease state. This care is provided through the most recent concepts of drug utilization and control which is the sum total of knowledge, understanding, judgement, procedure, skills, controls and ethics that ensure optimal safety in the distribution and use of medications.
All pharmacists are required to understand and maintain the patient specific aspects of care in dosing patients based on age, weight, renal function and preparing individual inpatient and outpatient prescription orders and refilling medications.
Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy with a five year Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy or a six year entry level Pharmacy
D. degree. Completion of pharmacy internship and licensure as a Registered Pharmacist by passing examination of the NY State Board of Pharmacy or by the reciprocal licensure. Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
- $55.00/hr – $77.30/hr (based on experience, education, and skills)
- Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
