The Practice Manager will oversee office operations to ensure optimal patient care and efficient patient flow from reception throughout the clinical areas.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the Director of Nursing/COO to ensure optimal patient care and efficient patient flow from the reception department throughout the clinical areas.
- Plan and prioritize workflow with the goal of maximizing the efficiency and quality standards of the medical office operations.
- Interact with physicians, COO, and Human Resources to establish and implement action plans designed to maximize the effectiveness of the office administrative operation.
- Create policies and procedures focused on continuous improvement and solutions to daily issues.
- Work with Human Resources to ensure each office location is properly staffed for efficient operation of daily business.
- Coordinate the training process for all newly hired staff.
- Analyze patient needs and practice objectives with employee competencies to position staff to most effectively utilize individual skills and strengths.
- Create and maintain patient templates ensuring patients are scheduled in proper blocks of time for each physician.
- Work with the Billing Manager and billing staff to ensure proper procedures are followed during patient check‑in and check‑out to secure accurate patient financial data.
- Ensure that reception staff maintains all patient information according to the established patient confidentiality policy and verifies that necessary paperwork is presented to patients for understanding and signatures (HIPAA, practice, financial, and other forms) as required.
- Verify that all medical dictations are obtained in a timely and accurate fashion and sent out to referring physicians.
- Approve office staff work schedules, Paid Time Off requests, and payroll timesheets as well as process employee performance reviews in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively to physicians and managers regarding all aspects of operations on a daily basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Graduate
- Minimum of an Associate Degree preferred
- Minimum of five (3) years of related experience
- Experience in supervisory role 3-5 years
- NYS LPN or RN license required

Salary Range$85,000.00 - $ / year
