Pay Rate: $23.50 - $25.00 Hourly
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive employee to be responsible for new employee training and coordination of the Agency’s training and development program.
Responsibilities- Facilitate and coordinate required & Agency training as part of the onboarding process, referred to as “Training Academy”
- Initiate leadership orientation process
- Assist with maintaining an annual training schedule of both mandatory and non-mandatory Agency training
- Provide required annual training to all employees, as needed
- Notify employees of upcoming trainings; both internal and external
- Develop content within the Learning Management System (Litmos)
- Evaluate the need for training, assess or develop curriculum, facilitate if needed
- Coordinate, design, and facilitate mentorship program
- In conjunction with department leaders, develop robust internship and job shadowing program
- Serve as contact for external community partners to schedule interns
- Serve as contact for collegiate affiliations, in support of DSP Micro-Credentialing program and recruitment effort
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned
High school diploma/GED, required. Two to three years of experience working in human services, preferably providing direct care support to individuals, required. Must have some experience in a training capacity. Knowledge of OMH, OPWDD, ABI, and DOH programmatic requirements, highly desirable.
Conditions Of EmploymentMust have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and reliable transportation necessary to meet program needs. Must respect confidentiality.
