Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00–15:00), Monday–Friday with on-call requirements
Responsibilities:
Perform radiographic and interventional imaging procedures under radiologist direction.
Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams, and ensure correct positioning for optimal imaging.
Operate radiologic and interventional imaging equipment efficiently to obtain high-quality studies.
Maintain radiation safety standards to minimize patient exposure.
Document imaging procedures and patient data in radiology information systems.
Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions promptly.
Follow departmental protocols, policies, and procedural guidelines.
Support procedural workflow and collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
Valid state radiologic technologist license/registration.
Minimum 1 year of CT or MRI experience as a radiologic technologist.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices.
Ability to operate imaging systems and maintain accurate documentation.
Must meet pre-employment health clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience.
Experience assisting with image-guided procedures.
Familiarity with radiology information systems and procedural workflows.
Strong patient communication and procedural support skills.
