Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position specializing in stroke and medical patients, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and NIHSS certification.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Medical/Surgical unit (6N Irving) in Syracuse, NY,

• Patient population consists primarily of stroke and medical patients,

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM),

• Every other weekend required,

• No blocked scheduling,

• Charting via Epic EMR,

• 16-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active, unencumbered NY RN license required,

• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS),

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required,

• Stroke care experience required,

• Prior travel nursing experience required,

• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the last year required for consideration,

• Resume with no gaps in work history required for consideration,

• Skills checklist completed within the last 12 months required for consideration,

Additional Information

• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start,

• Any color scrubs permitted,

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a different pay rate,
