Job Summary:
The Behavioral Emergency Response Team Social Worker will support the care of patients who have a risk for escalated behavior. They will function as an expert resource and work collaboratively with the psychiatric, medical and other multidisciplinary teams. They will support patient care through direct consultation, coaching/mentoring, learning needs assessment, formal and informal education, and providing guidance to the Upstate Staff.
Minimum Qualifications:Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from a Social Work program accredited by the Council on Social Work (CSWE), NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) AND a minimum of 3 years post licensure experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) & prior emergency room, inpatient medical and/or inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
Work Days:Monday-Friday, days/weekends & holidays based on operational needs.
