Healthcare facility in the Syracuse area is seeking a Medicaid Coordinator.
Responsibilities include meeting with residents and families to review financial obligations, gathering and submitting Medicaid documentation through approval, entering census data into billing and clinical systems, collecting private pay and income balances, assisting with insurance authorizations, managing resident funds, and ensuring admission agreements are completed. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Candidates should be comfortable discussing financial matters with residents and families and maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems is required. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and HMO processes is preferred.
