Toomey is a not-for-profit organization providing community-based clinical treatment services and programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, youth in foster care and youth with mental health needs in the Central New York region. Immediate opening for a Program Coordinator in our Supervised Independent Living Program (SILP) located in Syracuse. The SILP is designed to support transition-age youth (17-21) in foster care on their journey towards independence. Residents live in a supervised apartment complex where they receive 24 hour support from our staff.

• Ensure the efficient operation of the program, and provide positive role modeling to individuals receiving services to achieve daily goals and objectives.
• Complete appropriate fiscal and program records in a timely manner. Prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork including payroll and incident reports.
• Hire, provide orientation, train, supervise, evaluate, and coach all residential or program staff.
• Communicate and collaborate with other service providers and staff.

• Must be 21 years old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less.
• High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience working with individuals with children or in another human service area or in a health care field preferred.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Required to successfully complete the OCFS Criminal History Review.
