Pay Rate: $58 - $68 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a 14-week contract assignment in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit (PICU) environment. This role requires strong clinical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill pediatric patients
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed
  • Monitor and manage life-support systems, ventilators, and critical care equipment
  • Continuously assess vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient status
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients' families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies
  • Ensure compliance with PICU protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of New York or compact eligibility if applicable)
  • BSN preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent Pediatric ICU (PICU) experience required
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • ACLS preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
