Pay Rate: $70–$75 per hour
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 3×12s (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Upstate University Hospital is hiring experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week night shift contract
. This position is based in a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital and involves providing high-acuity critical care to adult neurological patients.
- Deliver critical care nursing to adult Neuro ICU patients
- Perform neurological and comprehensive patient assessments
- Manage IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, and complex care plans
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, neurologists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
- Float within skillset as required
- Active New York State RN license (must be in hand)
- 2+ years recent acute care hospital experience
- 1+ year recent Neuro ICU experience
- Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
- IV therapy and telemetry monitoring experience
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Strong communication and clinical judgment skills
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass health clearance, drug screening, and background check
- 13-week assignment with possible extensions
- 3×12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within skillset
- Must be available to work 3 holidays during the contract
Compensation: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
